Chief Executive Officer Alfred Geißler: “DMG MORI AG has developed particularly well in the third quarter. Order intake and sales revenues have increased strongly, and we also made progress on EBIT despite a continued challenging market environment. The successful industry trade fair AMB in Stuttgart has once again demonstrated that our MX – Machining Transformation strategy precisely addresses our customers' requirements and provides them with tailored solutions. On this basis, we are also very well positioned for the 2027 financial year.”

Order intake

Global economic prospects for the remainder of the year have brightened slightly. According to OECD assessments, geopolitical tensions, in particular the conflict in the Middle East, continue to weigh on energy prices and supply chains. A subdued economic development continues to be expected for the euro area; the outlook for Germany has recently turned somewhat more favourable. In other major economies, including the United States, China, and India, first signs of economic recovery are also emerging.

In this market environment, DMG MORI AG achieved a strong increase in order intake in the third quarter to 786.3 million € (+33 %; prior year: 590.0 million €). As of 30 September 2026, order intake amounted to 2,149.8 million € (+24 %; prior year: 1,731.7 million €). Domestic orders stood at 692.0 million € (+40 %; prior year: 493.3 million €). The EBIT margin stood at 4.2 % (prior year: 4.3 %). EBT amounted to 68.5 million € (prior year: 65.5 million €). EAT as of 30 September 2026 amounted to 48.6 million € (prior year: 148.3 million €). As of 30 September 2026, free cash flow stood at 85.0 million € (prior year: -12.2 million €). This positive development was primarily driven by advance payments received as a result of strong order intake.

Employees

As of 30 September 2026, the Group employed 7,490 employees, including 288 trainees (31 December 2025: 7,383). Personnel expenses amounted to 482.1 million € (prior year: 459.5 million €). The personnel cost ratio accordingly stood at 30.0 % (prior year: 32.1 %).

Research and development

We continue to consistently align our entire portfolio with the ambition of being the comprehensive solutions provider in the manufacturing environment for our customers. In 2026, together with our parent company DMG MORI COMPANY LIMITED, we introduce 17 innovations – comprising 9 machine tools, 2 automation solutions, 2 digital innovations, 1 new technology cycle, and 3 new DMG MORI Components.

At the AMB in Stuttgart (15–19 September 2026), the international exhibition for metal cutting, DMG MORI presented 20 predominantly automated machines live under the motto “Never Stop Manufacturing the Future”. The highlights included the world premiere of the new DMV 160 vertical milling machine, presented together with the PH-AMR 750. The driverless, collaborative transport system enables fully autonomous pallet handling.

Outlook

The global outlook for 2026 remains shaped by uncertainty. In particular, the conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, and the associated elevated energy prices and supply chain disruptions, continue to weigh on economic development. At the same time, initial signs of recovery are visible in certain countries and sectors. Following a strong first nine months of the 2026 financial year, particularly the significant rise in order intake, DMG MORI AG once again raises the forecast it had already revised upwards at the half-year stage and now expects order intake to be between 2.5 billion € and 2.7 billion € (previously between 2.4 billion € and 2.6 billion €). Sales revenues are furthermore expected to be between 2.1 billion € and 2.3 billion €. For EBIT, we anticipate a range of 100 million € to 120 million €. Free cash flow is expected to be between 90 million € and 110 million €.
