DMG MORI pushes forward automation and digitization
Bielefeld/Pfronten. Strong performance: At the beginning of the year, DMG MORI presents its entire technological expertise on 7,500 m2. With 70 high-tech machines, two world premieres as well as the future topics of automation, digitization and ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING, the traditional Open House exhibition at DECKEL MAHO in Pfronten (22-26 Jan. 2019) will be dedicated to integrated manufacturing solutions for holistic processes.
The more than 8,000 international trade visitors will be able to see 70 high-tech machines, including 20 with automation and two world premieres: the vertical high-speed machining center DMP 70 for series production and the LASERTEC 125 Shape for 3D laser texturing of freeform surfaces in workpieces up to 2,600 kg.
"Networked production, integrated automation and digitization concepts as well as high-precision and productive machines – we make our customers fit for the factory of the future", says Christian Thönes, Chairman of the Executive Board of DMG MORI AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT. With holistic solutions for automation, digitization and ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING, DMG MORI focuses on the entire value-added chain: "Integrated Digitization" accelerates end-to-end digitization – from production planning to digital production monitoring to networked services. The production facilities FAMOT in Pleszew and DECKEL MAHO in Seebach will be connected via live stream to the in-house exhibition Pfronten as digital factories of the future.
Further highlights: the large-scale machining in the XXL Center live with the DMU 600 P, the Aerospace and Die & Mold solutions with our experience of over 50 years and the newly launched certificates program of DMG MORI Qualified Products, which offers a diverse selection of high performance tooling systems on exclusive terms.
In the run-up to the Open House exhibition, DMG MORI is once again organizing a "future day": 1,000 pupils from the region inform themselves about modern training in an international high-tech company. The business magazines "Capital" and "Focus Money" recently awarded DMG MORI the title of "Germany's Best Instructor". The Pfronten site currently employs 1,597 people, including 123 apprentices.
