GILDEMEISTER Successful at Autumn Trade Fairs

Bielefeld. With an order intake of Euro 69 million and 260 machines sold, GILDEMEISTER showed a positive financial statement at the first important autumn trade fairs in the significant markets USA and Germany. The IMTS in Chicago and the AMB in Stuttgart, which take place every two years in September, marked a successful start to the autumn trade fairs.

At the IMTS in Chicago, GILDEMEISTER achieved a good order intake with Euro 25 million. Overall, the American market has clearly picked up again. As the worldwide leading producer of high-tech machine tools, GILDEMEISTER distinguished itself once again with 29 exhibits on a trade fair stand covering 1,170 m2 .

The AMB in Stuttgart that ended on Saturday was also successful with a record order intake of Euro 44 million. This confirmed the good shape of the domestic market for tool machines. A particular fair highlight was the “Virtual Machine“: The DMG Virtual Machine gives the customer a system for standardised simulation of machinery, control behaviour and part machining for the first time.

The company expects additional stimuli from the autumn trade fairs taking place shortly (BIMU / Milan and JIMTOF / Tokyo). GILDEMEISTER anticipates an order intake of more than Euro 1.3 billion for the entire year. The current figures for the third quarter 2006 are published on 7 November 2006.
