GILDEMEISTER has called the financial supervisory authority
Bielefeld. The executive board of GILDEMEISTER Aktiengesellschaft immediately called in the German financial supervisory authority (BaFin) on Thursday, 17 January 2008, to investigate the recent GILDEMEISTER share price movements.
The company has a strong interest in determining who has been influencing the stock market since Tuesday, 15 January 2008. The investigation carried out by the securities regulatory commission should provide information if there is any evidence of share price manipulation or insider trading.
On 12 February 2008, as planned, GILDEMEISTER will publish the provisional figures for the financial year 2007 – the most successful year in the company’s 137-year history – with the excellent results expected by the capital market. The financial year 2008 also has started in line with the company’s plans.
