GILDEMEISTER at the METAV with four innovations
Bielefeld. There is more to the new software, "Production Manager", than meets the eye: it organises perfectly, thus increasing production efficiency. For the very first time, the new software tool links all the production-relevant data for machine tools. The Service Information Centre was one of the highlights introduced by GILDEMEISTER at the leading trade fair for metal processing in Düsseldorf (METAV), which has just finished.
GILDEMEISTER presented a total of 14 innovative machine tools from the sectors of Turning, Milling and Ultrasonic/Lasertec. The new Turning and Milling Centre, GMX 200 S linear, one of three world premieres presented, depicts a milestone in the trend-setting integration of technology. The response at the trade fair, which is also important for ordering, was substantial: GILDEMEISTER was able to sell 192 machines with a total value of Euro 37.4 million on just five days.
The orders placed at the METAV confirm the fact that demand on the domestic front, healthy since the beginning of the year, is continuing to flourish. GILDEMEISTER will conclude the second Quarter with an order entry higher than the level achieved for the first, positive Quarter (Euro 339.2 million). The latest figures for the first half-year 2006 will be published on August 4th 2006.
