GILDEMEISTER and Mori Seiki (Japan) to start joint sales and services
Bielefeld. DMG Vertriebs und Service GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of the GILDEMEISTER group, will commence joint sales and services with the Japanese machine tool manufacturer, Mori Seiki Co. LTD. (Nagoya), on 1 July. This strategic cooperation will start in four markets: Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia and Turkey. Moreover, the cooperation, which was agreed in March, is intended to cover research and development, purchasing and the worldwide provision of customer financing.
As of 1 July 2009, the two companies will be present on four markets under one brand: DMG/MORI SEIKI . ll four sales and service companies will market the complementary product range of both manufacturers. The joint technology centres ensure a strong product presence, even better local service and support, and fast response times for the customer. GILDEMEISTER and Mori Seiki intend to expand their market presence in Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia and Turkey through an efficient and widespread sales and service network.

The employees’ know-how and the two companies’ technologies complement each other perfectly. “The fusion of superior technologies and strong sales and service networks brings greater productivity benefits to our customers," states Dr. Masahiko Mori, president of Mori Seiki.
The alliance between GILDEMEISTER and Mori Seiki opens up synergies in production as well as in research and development. Due to the same system suppliers, significant effects arise in purchasing, materials management and logistics. The aim of this "win-win" partnership is the same for both sides, that is, to achieve synergies of about Euro 15 million per year.
