GILDEMEISTER achieves order intake of Euro 102.6 million
Traditional in-house exhibition in Pfronten a special success
Bielefeld. At the most important opening event of the year in Southern Germany, GILDEMEISTER achieved order intake of Euro 102.6 million in five days. This is the best result so far from the annual exhibition at DECKEL MAHO in Pfronten (Allgäu). The success of this traditional in-house exhibition underlines the strong start into the financial year 2008.
From February 19 to 23, GILDEMEISTER sold a total of 365 machines to DMG customers; 3,625 trade visitors from 2,223 different companies came to Pfronten. Over an area of 3,300 square metres, GILDEMEISTER presented 48 product exhibits, including innovative control and automation solutions. The highly efficient CTV 160 vertical lathe, which is especially attractive due its short setup time, celebrated its world premiere. In future this series of turning machines will be produced in Bielefeld in a 3,000 square meter modern production hall. The exhibition was also the start signal for the group-wide new “Aerospace-Center-of-Excellence”. Due to the growing importance of the aerospace industry, GILDEMEISTER has constructed a centre of excellence in Pfronten and presented this to the industry's experts for the first time.
On the occasion of the press conference on Financial Statements on March 13, 2008, GILDEMEISTER will publish detailed information on the financial year 2007, on the first quarter 2008 and on the forecast for the financial year 2008.
