a+f wins a further major order worth Euro 31.5 million
Bielefeld. a+f GmbH, a company belonging to the GILDEMEISTER group, has concluded a further major order in the area of renewable energy sources for 150 "SunCarriers" valued about Euro 31.5 million.
The Wurzburg-based company, a+f GmbH, has received a further major order from a Spanish investor for the delivery and installation of 150 controlled solar tracker systems. With surface areas of 250 square metres each, the "SunCarrier" is setting new standards in the field of solar tracker systems. The installation will be set up in sunny Pozohondo (Castile-La Mancha province), some 250 kilometres south east of Madrid. The amount of power produced will be sufficient to supply about 2,800 four-person households according to calculations. The a+f construction, which is applied for patent, has particularly impressed experts with its combination of a long lifetime and low maintenance. The PLC-controlled "SunCarrier" automatically aligns itself with the sun’s position and thus achieves up to 32% greater performance than fixed elevated systems.
GILDEMEISTER will continue to expand its activities in the area of renewable energy sources. Due to high demand, a+f is expecting an order volume of up to Euro 100 million for the year 2007. GILDEMEISTER will publish the interim figures for the first six months of 2007 on 2 August 2007.
