a+f lands another large-scale order worth Euro 21.6 million
Bielefeld. a+f GmbH, a company of the GILDEMEISTER Group, has secured yet another major order to the tune of Euro 21.6 million. The Würzburg-based company closed the order following the world’s largest trade fair for solar technology, the Intersolar 2008 in Munich.
In Pozohondo in the Castilla La Mancha region of Spain a further solar park with 90 “SunCarrier” is being erected. The computer-controlled “SunCarrier” tracks the changing position of the sun and as a result produces around 30% more energy than permanently aligned, motionless solar power plants. The “SunCarrier” is the most efficient and reliable photovoltaic tracking system for open spaces.
With the “SunCarrier” GILDEMEISTER is participating in the rapidly expanding solar technology market. On account of the dynamic development a new Solar Competence Centre providing up to 100 modern work stations is being set up at the Würzburg site. In the renewable energies sector (wind and sun) a+f is expecting to see a further growth in order volume for the financial year 2008 and plans sales revenues for the first time of more than Euro 200 million for the current financial year. GILDEMEISTER will be publishing its current figures for the first half of 2008 on 31 July 2008.
