GILDEMEISTER in “New Design“ at the METAV

Trade fair order intake of € 57.9 million exceeds expectations

Bielefeld. GILDEMEISTER achieved order intake of € 57.9 million at the METAV in Düsseldorf with sales of 227 machines. At this most important spring event for manufacturing technology and automation, GILDEMEISTER showed all 19 exhibits in a trend-setting new machine design. The new technical design of the machines, which has received several awards in the last weeks, impressed the trade visitors during the five trade fair days.

GILDEMEISTER presented innovations in turning, milling, ultrasonic and laser technologies, as well as in automation and software solutions, over a 1,080 square metre area. Special highlights were the world première of the high-performance vertical lathe CTV 160 linear and new automation solutions with robots for machine tools.

The orders received at the METAV reconfirm a continuing strong domestic demand. GILDEMEISTER will publish current figures for the first quarter 2008 on May 6.
